Royal Pride Primary School Celebrates International Day of the Girl Child

On October 11, Royal Pride Primary School celebrated the International Day of the Girl Child with a special assembly and a variety of activities throughout the day. The theme for this year’s celebration was “Our time is now—our rights, our future.”

The assembly began with a welcome from the school proprietress (Mrs. Adediji Olanike), who spoke about the importance of empowering girls and ensuring that they have the same opportunities as boys. She also encouraged the girls to pursue their dreams and never give up on their goals.

Following the principal’s speech, a group of girls from the school performed a skit about the challenges that girls face around the world. The skit highlighted the importance of education, healthcare, and protection for all girls.

After the skit, the girls had the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities.

The International Day of the Girl Child is an important day to raise awareness about the challenges that girls face and to celebrate their achievements. Royal Pride Primary School is committed to empowering girls and ensuring that they have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
